Take Root (Sycamore Education Foundation Event)

The SEF would like to invite you to attend the annual Take Root event, a fundraiser for the Sycamore Education Foundation. This adult only event is Saturday, September 23 from 6:00 – 11:00 PM.
This year’s event is “A Harvest Hoedown” and is being held at Dayton Farms in Sycamore, hosted by a stellar Sycamore alumni family. Come see the haybarn in full regalia, and dance to the country’fied version of “Live at Joe’s”, local music featuring several educators from across the district. Peruse and bid on an immense silent auction and enjoy the live auctioneer for select items.

What is the SEF? We are the academic booster club of Sycamore. We work with our generous community and businesses to raise and distribute funds to teachers and staff who apply for grant. Any staff can apply and nearly every idea or need can be covered. A grant can cover any aspect of K-12 education and helps fund the innovation needed in our schools. The SEF doesn’t exist without the generosity of the community and the excellence of our District 427 staff. Please consider attending this event to show your support and Spartan Pride!
Tickets: $40 for the public, purchase online at sycamoresef.org or contact any SEF board member. Tickets are also available at Shawn’s Coffee Shop and Kar-Fre Flowers.
Again, tickets includes food, beverages, live music, silent auction, live auctioneer, and instant buys and raffles. The event is held in a fully decked out barn with three firepits and seating outside plus our first ever s’mores bar.
