Welcome to the North Grove Library!
Our North Grove students visit the school library once a week. Students should return their books on their scheduled library day in order to check out new materials. Parents and students can search for books and check their library account online through the Sycamore Community School District #427 Online Card Catalog.

Designed for students in grades 3-5. This award is named in honor of Big Bluestem which is our state prairie grass, the award may include both timeless classics and current titles, as well as books that have appeared on Monarch and Rebecca Caudill lists.
The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
Designed for students K-3. The Monarch is designed to encourage children to read critically and become familiar with children’s books, authors and illustrators.
The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
Designed for students 4-8. The award is named in honor of Rebecca Caudill who lived and wrote in Urbana, Illinois, for nearly 50 years. The award is given in recognition for her literary talent and the universal appeal of her books which have touched the hearts of many children and young adults.
